Bringing home the bacon (or bacon-style alternative obvs): Wonderland + Bristol Food Connections

Running from 11th – 17th June, Bristol Food Connections is a chance to explore all that is good about food in our amazing hometown of Bristol and beyond, with a whole load of people-powered events around the city designed to educate, enlighten, tickle your taste buds or simply get some of those famous good Bristol vibes going.

This year Bristol Food Connections is doing something different – instead of the usual temporary-white-tents-on-College-Green thing, the festival will be going to where the action is and using Bristol’s existing food spaces and places as its venues – from restaurants, cafes and markets to community projects and city farms.

Over the last few years, Bristol’s established itself as one of the UK’s most exciting places to eat, but BFC goes beyond the Sunday supplement hype to shine a light on the huge, wonderful diversity of tastes, cultures and amazing things people are doing with food and drink in and around the city.

In other words:  Bristol + food + culture + amazing, inspiring team at the festival doing good things for their community = a very chuffed Wonderland to be part of it.

Bristol Food Connections wouldn’t be what it is if it weren’t for the incredible community support behind it, so if you want to get involved and host your own event at the festival, and apply here before 16th February.

With a shedload of experience in organis­ing events, the Food Connections team is well placed to offer you advice and sup­port; from finding a venue for your event to connecting you up with speakers, pe­rformers, co-conspir­ators and possibly even event sponsors. Not to mention help­ing with the practic­al stuff like naviga­ting your way through road closures, mak­ing your event acces­sible, and capturing and reporting on the outcomes of your event.
