It the midst of awards season, it was clear Brits needed something tasty to eat while they were rewatching their favourite Oscar-winning movies. Cue Heinz & The Godfather Pasta Sauce.
With countless people recreating dishes from their favourite films and shows across social media (a trend which The Guardian featured this launch in), we knew we were helping to launch an offer people couldn’t refuse with our client at Kraft Heinz and partners Paramount Pictures, The Kitchen and VML.
Heinz & The Godfather Pasta Sauce was inspired by Peter “leave the gun, take the cannoli” Clemenza’s iconic scene and true to the Corleone family’s Italian roots, the pasta sauce followed the exact recipe from the film with the addition of delicious, sun-ripened Italian Heinz tomatoes, of course. However, unlike revenge, this pasta sauce was a dish best served hot.
Over 150+ pieces of coverage agreed this pasta sauce was perfect for feeding your whole mob at home, with Trend Hunter scoring it a 9.5 and Evening Standard highlighting that “Heinz is no stranger to unforeseen collaborations, and this newest limited-edition pasta sauce wasn’t on our 2024 bingo cards – but we’re certainly not complaining”!
