(despite secretly being partial to a bit of Steve Wright’s Sunday Love Songs EVERY weekend) but this year’s ValenHeinz campaign got us right in the feels – and even featured a real-life ACTUAL marriage proposal.
We worked with Heinz to create and launch super-ro-ro-ro-man-tic, limited-edition cans of their Alphabetti pasta featuring only the letters M, A, R, Y and E for spelling out – yep, you got it – MARRY ME. Perfect for anyone wanting to propose to a Heinz pasta lover, or just wanting to propose full stop – not like you’re going up the Eiffel Tower together any time soon, is it?
The cans were partly inspired by Heinz Alphabetti fan Karen, who told us how her partner Diarmuid proposed with the much-loved pasta letters back in 2019. (Reader, she said yes. Otherwise this would be WELL AWKS.)
The cans have been flying off the shelves at Ocado and Selfridges, thanks to the story bagging coverage in national titles like the Daily Star and the Daily Mirror as well as a raft of lifestyle pieces.
